The first day of the calendar week is Sunday.  The seventh day of the week is Saturday.  The Sabbath (God’s day of rest) is on the seventh day.  So, ask yourself, where did the Sabbath change to Sunday?  It was changed by the Catholic Church, and they teach this in their own Chatechism (The following is from “The Compendum of the Chatechism of the Catholic Church“):

452. For what reason has the Sabbath been changed to Sunday for Christians?

The reason is because Sunday is the day of the Resurrection of Christ. As “the first day of the week” (Mark 16:2) it recalls the first creation; and as the “eighth day”, which follows the sabbath, it symbolizes the new creation ushered in by the Resurrection of Christ. Thus, it has become for Christians the first of all days and of all feasts. It is the day of the Lord in which he with his Passover fulfilled the spiritual truth of the Jewish Sabbath and proclaimed man’s eternal rest in God.

2189 “Observe the sabbath day, to keep it holy” (Deut 5:12). “The seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord” (Ex 31:15).

2190 The sabbath, which represented the completion of the first creation, has been replaced by Sunday which recalls the new creation inaugurated by the Resurrection of Christ.

My comment:  Note that it admits Sunday is the “first day”, and as the “eighth day”, it follows the Sabbath (Saturday).  Note that they also admit the sabbath is the 7th day (Saturday).  The very entry tells you the Catholic church changed God’s Sabbath to Sunday.  Now, read what the Holy Bible tells us:

Genesis 2:2,2:3

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
And, just so we are not getting into an “Old Testament” versus “New Testament” argument (i.e., the Old Testament doesn’t apply to Christians), read Isaiah Chapter 56:

{56:2} Blessed [is] the man [that] doeth this, and the son of man [that] layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

{56:3} Neither let the son of the stranger (i.e. non-Jew), that hath joined himself to the LORD,  speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people:

{56:6} Also the sons of the stranger (i.e., non-Jew), that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

{56:8} The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather [others] to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

So, we see that God, speaking to Gentiles (i.e, all nations other than  Jews), is saying that “everyone that keepeth the SABBATH from polluting it…” will he gather unto HIM, and they will also be his PEOPLE.  It does not say “Everyone that keepeth A Sabbath”, indicating any day is acceptable as long as you rest on that day, but “everyone that keepeth THE Sabbath”.

Jesus himself, when asked, said in Matthew {5:18}

“For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”

That does not mean, “until the Catholic Church changes it”, but until the end of time.

Also, in Daniel {7:25}, speaking of the Anti-Christ, he says ” And he shall speak [great] words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws:”,

a clear reference to attempts to change the Sabbath, which was both a TIME (Day), and LAW (observing the Sabbath).

Finally, in Revelations, which is a CHRISTIAN prophecy, we read in Chapter 22:13:

” I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. {22:14} Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. {22:15} For without [are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.”

Jesus declares he is the beginning and the end (Alpha and Omega), and that this is now a CLOSED book (i.e., God has spoken everything he needs to reveal to us).  He clearly states that those who do his commandments (i.e., observe the Sabbath) are blessed.

And in verses 18 – 19 we read:

{22:18} For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this  book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: {22:19} And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.

Final comment:  Throughout the Bible, both Old and New Testament, it is clearly stated that the Sabbath is Holy because on it God rested, and that anyone who violates the Sabbath was to be killed.  Changing the very day of God’s rest clearly would be violating it and is one of the things written about the Antichrist (He attempts to change time)…ask yourselves and your church, why do you worship on Sunday?  Many pastor’s will say that they do not consider Sunday the Sabbath, but it is Christ’s day…however, the Catholic church clearly says they changed the “Sabbath day” and declared Sunday to be the new Sabbath Day…You will see, in later posts, the significance of Sunday to cult societies and it’s symbolism to Satan who is the “Sun God” as represented by his many representative kings on earth.
