Christian’s recognize that the Ten Commandments given to the Jewish people from God are also applicable to us.  When someone says “I am free from the law” and thus free from the Ten Commandments, they are ignorant of what is the law and what is the Commandments.

The “Law” was the law’s given by God for the Jew’s in their worship of him, and how to live as a society as His chosen people.  The Ten Commandments were applicable to all.  (For example, who will say that “Thou Shalt Not Kill” is not applicable to them?).  In Isiah 56:6, there is a clear demonstration that the Sabbath (one of the Ten Commandments) was meant for everyone who believed in the one true God:

“Also the sons of the stranger (i.e., non-Jew), that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;”

A fool believes there is no God, and each day there is more and more evidence in the “natural world” (i.e., Satan’s kingdom) of God’s truth.

In the middle of 2nd BC, we have a papryus written that contains the Ten Commandments, and a remnant of it is on display in the Cambridge Digital Library.  (You can read a story about it HERE)  I include the photograph of this +2100 year old document, that a secular institution displays…and inadvertantly gives glory to the Most High God:
