I live in Sumter, SC. South Carolina is, to me, emblematic of the rest of the country, in that (c)hristianity has become “just a thing you do”, and not a commitment. Imagine my joyous surprise, when I saw the following story on a Pickens County, SC graduation ceremony. This young man, valedictorian of his school in Pickens County, SC, stood before the audience with a speech WRITTEN BY THE SCHOOL devoid of any religious references, and tore it up, then proceeded to thank his parents for bringing him to the Lord, and ending by saying “And I think most of you will understand, when I say…Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, for thine is the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, forever and ever, AMEN. Thank God this young man had the insight to see this was a perfect time to WITNESS! May God continue to give this young man guidance the rest of his life.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
