Can a Christian compromise on humanity?  Can you become so entrenched in being an American, that you begin to blur the line between being a follower of Christ and a follower of “American Exceptionalism”?

American Exceptionalism – “The theory that the United States is qualitatively different from other nation states.  In this view, U.S. exceptionalism stems from its emergence from a revolution, becoming what political scientist Seymour Martin Lipset called “the first new nation” and developing a uniquely American ideology,  “Americanism”, based on liberty, egalitarianism, individualism, republicanism, populism and laissez-faire.  This ideology itself is often referred to as “American exceptionalism.

Well and good.  There is nothing wrong with being proud of our countries achievements when they are MORAL and HUMANE.  However, blindly following our leaders, no matter what they DO (focusing on what they “say” they do) will ultimately prove to be the basis of losing your way, for we must remember that Satan himself, can transform into “an angel of light”:

“…For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works….” — 2nd Corinthians 11:14

Did you catch that last line?  His (Satan) ministers also can be transformed into ministers of righteousness, or to be exact, APPEAR TO BE righteous.  One of the most revolutionary transformations you can make as a Christian is to rid yourself of conceptions that are anti-Bible, anti-God, and anti-Christian, no matter WHERE they come from.

Why is this so important?  It depends — do you honestly think you are in a more informed position because you blindly accept things because the “right” person says it? Or, are you prepared to WATCH with discernment, to separate the wheat from the chaff and see what is really happening?  After all, it was Jesus Christ himself who said:

“…And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch….” – Mark 13:37

Watch with a discerning eye.  Watch with wisdom, not as a sponge – reflecting and checking each thing you see and comparing it to the Bible.  Watch whether political parties adhere to principle and uphold human dignity.  Everything else in politics (i.e, economics, class warfare, political correctness) are but distractions meant to keep you in the dark.

For an eye-opening trip down the rabbit hole into the reality of Satan’s world that you know nothing about, view my other Blog, “The Inconvenient Truths

Let me put it to you this way:  If you are so caught up in the politics of the day (i.e., Obama is the Anti-Christ, No, Obama is the Saviour — All Muslims are terrorists, no, the Tea-Partiers are terrorists), which are themselves promoted or stamped out by a willing support mechanism called the Main Stream media, how in the world will you know what to do when the time of Jesus Christ’s return is near?

Even your own church, religion, etc must be viewed with a skeptical eye, comparing apples to apples, verifying what is said against God’s word.  The current trend towards accommodation, wherein all paths to God are okay as long as they point the way, may be okay for the World (which, after all, is held currently under the sway of the “Prince of the Air”) but it is NOT acceptable to Christians (see my post: Whither Goest Thou?)

In my post Lukewarm and the new (c)hristians I talked about various polls and surveys that showed people who professed to be Christians are as ignorant about the Bible and it’s tenets than un-believers.  More disturbing, the largest number of people who viewed torture of another human being as acceptable, were Christians.  How do we reconcile that with the teachings of Jesus Christ in His Sermon on the Mount?

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

If we use that same logic, then

Cursed are those who torture and murder for they shall be tortured and murdered.”

In these days of war, terrorism, globalism, empire-building and clash of nations, it is our place, as Christians, to never compromise our beliefs and principles that are Bible-based, just to fit in with the current trend.  Our allegiance is to God and it is in compromising that principle that we will be deceived by the powers of this world.

Otherwise, you will face God and account for your allegiance to the Prince of this world, not the One who gave His life as ransom for you…I don’t mind dying, just don’t want to be twice dead.
